PHYSIOTHERAPY

Orthopaedic
Surgery / ICU
Neurological
Paediatrics
Obstetrics / Gynaecology

Each unit has a head who reports to the Head of Department.

Services Rendered:

1. Treatment of patients in various fields of medicine
2. Antenatal exercises
3. Research
4. Training of physiotherapy Interns.

The services are still majorly clinical, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medicine.  The students of the School of health information management are also being lectured by a Physiotherapist. We are part of the medical team attached to the UUTH sport club.

INFRASTRUCTURE
In addition to the list of equipments in the previous years, the department now has the following:

1. A tunnel bath a (a locally constructed infrared therapy      unit which can cover large area of the body).

The gym now has 2 magnetic treadmills.
