The Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation(CESVO) has awarded UUTH with a corporate ethics and integrity compliance gold medal for its contribution to the service of humanity.
The award came after the organization had done thorough assessment of over ten (10) federal university teaching hospitals in nigeria, genuinely committed to changing the narratives of corruption and mis-governance in health sub-sector.
Also presenting the Intergrity Icon of Nigeria(IION) award to the CMD, Prof Emem Bassey, the Executive Director/CEO/team leader, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, stated that the title was exclusively reserved for public office holders who are not found wanting in the areas of corruption.
He noted that CESVO focuses on exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership, and providing ethical education and self- orientation of citizens.
The organization also presented Professional Ethics and Complaince letters of recommendation to the other core management staff.
The CMD, in his response, thanked the organisation for finding him and the hospital worthy of such honour,and promised to live up to expectation.
